gift-guide: A fine Spanish wine from Monvínic

You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy fine wine. Anyone can understand the joy of uncorking a new bottle handpicked by someone dear to you – and the assistance of an expert sommelier always helps, too. With an astounding reputation as one of the top five wine cellars in the world, Monvínic houses a dizzying selection of over 3,000 hand-selected bottles.
Their raison d’être, as they mention on their website, is to reflect the incredible diversity of the five wine-producing continents by sourcing and carefully storing wines. Their bodega is complimented by a library, conference centre and culinary space all designed to maximize the experience of hand-picking your perfect bottle. A delectable gift for any adult with more than a fleeting interest in gourmet indulgence.
Open: from Monday to Friday from 13.00 to 23.00.
The kitchen is open from 13.30 to 15.30 and from 20.30 to 22.30.

It is worth mentioning that the wineshop next to the Boqueria market has a very good selection of reasonably priced wines. Do check them out if you are in the neighborhood!
