Illuminations, visionary Catalonia. Febr 17-May 17, 2009
The CCCB’s exhibition Illuminations is a journey through thought and creation in Catalonia from the time of Ramon Llull to the present day, with the emphasis on visionary artists and creators.
The exhibition, which consists of some 800 works, gives us a close-up on work by personalities from the world of Art and Literature, Science and Philosophy who opened up new horizons and broke with tradition, such as Cerdà, Dalí, Cuixart, Colom, Duchamp, Ferrer and Guàrdia, Fontcuberta, Gaudí, Picasso, Sisa, Tàpies and Verdaguer.
Opening hours:
From Tuesday to Sunday from 11a.m. to 8p.m.
Thusday 11 a.m. at 10 p.m.
Closed on non-holiday Mondays
