La Palmera, great lunch tasting menu
For lunch we try to go at least once a week to La Palmera. Mind you this is not easy since the place is an insiders favorite and therefor impossible to get in after 2 (so be early). No write ups in the tourist guides but truly a great find.
The menu de degustación (only available midday) is a sampling menu of 3 starters and 3, should I say second starters.
Small inventive plates, made always with freshest of seasonal ingredients. They are specialized in foie as there always is a wide range to choose from (the fresh foie with caramelized fruit on coca de piñones is definitely a favorite).
Reasonably good (nothing exceptional here) wine selection. French deserts.
This family run (mother in the kithcen, father and sun on the floor) delicatessen turned into restaurant stands out because of its attentive, friendly service and cosy decor.
