Acai, interesting piece in Barcelona’s gastronomic puzzle

At the foothills of Montjuic, tucked away in a little-known corner of Poble-Sec you’ll find this stunning gourmet restaurant. With a total staff of 4 (two in the partially visible kitchen and two on the floor), this top-quality yet intimate jewel is the brainchild of a young professional couple with a penchant for organic cuisine with conscience.
Fresh ingredients and gastronomic flair fuse in dishes such as tomato gazpacho and watermelon with buffalo mozzarella, mussel tart with trout caviar, passion fruit ice cream or chocolate tart, pistachios and Maldon salt.
Acai’s Chef, Pirelli, is famed for his belief in the philosophy behind good, simple, healthy eating. Another striking element of this charming restaurant is the attention to detail: the quality of the condiments, the temperature of the wine, and the personalized service. Acai is a winning bet for an evening to remember.
Dinner plus wine averages around 45 euros per person. Open for dinner only, closed Sundays and holidays.
